"I had both my home and auto policies through this office and was initially assisted by Kayla St. Pierre. I clearly explained that I maintain residences in both Virginia and Maryland and that my vehicles are registered in each state. She assured me this would not be an issue since State Farm provides nationwide coverage. Three months later, I was informed by the Maryland DMV that State Farm had never submitted proof of insurance, and my tags were scheduled for suspension within 15 days. When I contacted both Kayla and Jessica Shafer, I was repeatedly redirected to other departments and even told to contact different offices in an attempt to avoid responsibility. After speaking with a senior agent, it was confirmed that both Kayla and Jessica are new and that Kayla’s oversight caused this issue. Instead of taking accountability and resolving the problem, they avoided calls and provided misleading information about their availability. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and transparency was unacceptable. I have since transferred my policies to another State Farm office and filed a complaint with the compliance department. While multiple senior advisors and officers have since apologized for the error and the inappropriate handling by this office, Jessica Schaeffer continues to avoid my calls and directs others to give various excuses to avoid speaking with me. I strongly recommend choosing any other State Farm office in Roanoke to avoid similar issues. EDIT TO RESPOND TO JESSICA'S RESPONSE: I find it disappointing that Jessica had the time to respond to this review but has yet to return my calls regarding an active policy still under her office. Multiple senior advisors have already acknowledged that it was inappropriate and unprofessional for her to try to “pawn me off” to another office rather than take responsibility for her own mistake. It is very apparent that even in your response, you are untruthful. This further proves the lack of accountability and professionalism I experienced firsthand."

Having a representative that purposely dodges calls and has the agents in the office do the same is not a way to run a business. Will be switching offices to get away from the disgusting rude people coming out of this office. There are other offices other than Jessica’s which much more reasonable to kinder employees that want to help customers."
